Review of Rock Queen - Catherine Destivelle's autobiography

Catherine Destivelle
Legendary French climber and alpinist Catherine Destivelle recently gave a talk at the Women's Climbing Symposium, at Sheffield's Climbing Works, and being a man I wasn't allowed to attend.

Thankfully, the Buxton Adventure Festival came to the rescue! Catherine is back in the Peak District to divulge her adventures as a professional climber and alpinist. She was at the top of the game during the 1980s and 90s and is still known the world over for daring ascents and amazing documentaries.

Ahead of the talk on 24th February 2016, I received a copy of Rock Queen, Catherine's autobiography. It was a fascinating read, thoroughly enjoyable, funny and inspiring. Check out my review of Rock Queen on the Heason Events blog.

Hopefully see you at the Buxton Opera House in a couple of weeks!
